50th Celebration - July 23, 2011 - are you sure we're 50?

I experienced some interesting comments from various alumni when I began to advertise the 50th Celebration on Classmates.com .  Most comments came under the "50 classes graduating means 2015 is the celebration year...".  In a way, were are both right.


Andress opened it's doors for classes September of 1961.  50 years into the future puts us at 2011...hence, the 50th anniversary for the school.  Andress graduated it's first senior class in 1965, add 50 to it, and you get 2015.  By the way, the Alumni Association will be instrumental in planning the All Class Reunion in 2015.


In either event, we hope you'll take the time to attend these events, perhaps your class will have an event near those dates...so you can economize your travel plans, and be part of this historic events.  We have over 40 volunteers helping in any number of ways, and we're truly blessed with their passion and commitment.  I'm certain as we get closer to the 50th Celebration, more folks will be joining up, registering for the event, and asking the timely question "Whassup?".
